I reckon he'll go well. Exactly the type of character that could work as an origin coach. He is very good at getting players emotionally-ready for games.

Just like the tigers, I don’t think there’s many banging down the doors to coach NSW. Hats off to Madge to taking it on.

Unlike the Wests Tigers, the current NSW squad has a really good list of players available for it.
Get the combination right, prepare well and the rewards will come.

This is not the thread so I won’t pick apart half those blokes and why NSW will struggle. But as you know, the squad is only half the story.

I wonder if you would swap Madge and John’s for slater, smith and cronk for the coaching staff? It’s not even close what the 2 organizations are competing with.
