Topics opening straight at the reply box

With the to view, I couldn't see my last post, using FF, so I changed back to the from view and it displayed correctly.
I then used IE7 and when clicking the thread title, it went to the bottom of the page, again.

I'm really confused as to why this is happening… Could you please take a screen grab of the screen after you have click the thread title? It shouldn't be going to the quick reply as there is nothing telling the browser to go to the post form anchor...

You think your confused.
I now FF and IEx display things differently on occasion, but this is weird.

IE7 view, immediately after clicking on the thread title :

Ok dude let me try and think more about this… because there is no reason as to why this is happening...

No there is a reason. You just can't see it yet… :p

I am having the same problem. I am using IE 6 (work PC so no option to upgrade).

URL on "Site Issues and Feedback" page is:
http://www.weststigersforum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1407" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

When I click on this it takes me to the last post on the first page. The link for the second page is:
http://www.weststigersforum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1407&start=18" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Clicking on this it also takes me to the last post.

Hope this helps! :pray:

Hi guys

Found the solution!! :smiley:

Go to User Control Panel
then _Board Preferences_
then _Edit Display Options_
then _Display quick reply panel view_ - **Change to NO**.

Then the pages open at the top. :wahoo:

I have my post order as Descending, so the most recent post is at the top (because I check the site fairly often, there are not many messages to scroll down to my last read.)

Try this, tiger05\. Works for me. Of course you can have the post order as Ascending -. See what works for you.

Has this be figured out ???

Unfortunately not… I am really at a loss into what is going on. A temp fix is to remove the quick reply from displaying... but it is not a solution.

I can't replicate the problem at all so trouble-shooting it is hard.

Cheers, Mike

I just implemented tigergrans solution and that to me looks a lot better.

No quick reply but thats cool.

Thanks

Hi again

Why is Quick Reply better? Just one more click for Post Reply does the same thing, doesn't it?
