#261 Kitione Kautoga

Big test for our retainment and junior development mentality.

No point letting the good ones go, but would be obvious to him there is no first grade future for him at the club in the next 3 years

He has the size and skills to be an nrl player, unlike some of our much touted junior stars who were clearly outmuscled against Warriors in trial game
Need to find a pathway for him as others will

Simply not the case. Blore can’t stay on the field and we’re transitioning a very average centre into the forwards. Bateman must have some doubt surrounding him. Not many clubs would have a clearer pathway for him. If he leaves it’s for the same reason as the others, instant success.

He looks like he cld be an instant success for US at 109kgs!Got a conga line of "talented" juniors in front of him who are top 30 based on performances against other juniors...but nrl is the real deal
There's room at WTs in 2024 for genuine performers in the back row

Who do people rate higher, him or Tumeth?

Which one should be in the top 30? Which one is?

we also have other guys like fainu, reily in top 30 leaving a couple players with more value out of the top 30. wish there was the option to select players like kautoga, bula even will smith would probably do a decent - competent job wherever you slot him

Are a number of them. Lock them up, we might win a state cup in the next 2-3 years

Agree, the only lock-in for the back row is IP, the other edge is totally up for grabs. Blore has been given first shot, but you’d have to be eyeing off his spot if ya next in line and serious about being an nrl player. I guess you would sort of be annoyed if an average centre starts getting preferential treatment coz he’s the latest project. I’ve only seen him play on tv a few times but every time I’ve seen him he has killed it, shown more than both Blore and Flippers put together.

Totally agree how can Seyfarth,Fainu & Tumeth be ahead of Kautoga & James & surely Bula & Smith should have been In the top 30 ahead of Reilly & Wakeham this is extremely poor roster management from Sheens very disappointing from such an experienced coach.

We have half a dozen players in our top 30 that should not be considered for first grade
Surely someone in the know can find out about Kautogas future .Who would you rather have in the top 30 him or Seyfarth my God

5 tries between them on Sunday. Not a bad day out for 2 young forwards who will both only keep improving.

Tumeth is a worker, a grinder. Undersized but would be serviceability. Ray Stone type
Kautoga is more of a Nanai type. He's not at that level yet, Nanai is a freak, but could be there in 1-2 years...
