Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

If we are not smart enough tn find ways around it, then we just have to be happy losing every game as we don’t have enough players with the ability to change it.
We can’t sign more than 30 unless we can offload some and even then you have to hope clubs come to the table.

Room to move within Development Contracts and Train & Trialists also.
Clubs also have option to pay out players contracts within their top 30 by mutual agreement.
Also the possibility of getting NRL permission to sign an injury replacement for Junior Tupou.

And a lot of players won’t agree to get their contracts paid out unless they have no choice. We’d see a lot more players get freed up each year at every club if that was more likely to happen. And the NRL will not give us permission to sign an injury replacement for Tupou considering he’s able to come back this year.

An alternate view? All these teams are higher up the ladder than Tigers. I suppose that’s a coincidence?
We can all find fault in the players we’ve let go and are fitting in well at their new club, which is preferable to praising their efforts.
The one thing I’ve noticed is these players are highly motivated when they play us, much more so than when they wore a Tigers jersey.
They will score a double against us, while we struggled to get a lone try from their time here?
Disgruntled ex employees huh?
Talau on multiple occasions threw the ball over the sideline in a two on one situation. That’s the shit you can’t do in first grade, even more so at a struggling club.

Dispute facts all you like, they’re still facts.

sullivan is a 6

we need a controlling half

remember Jacko -- the guy that everyone said i was wrong when we let go and that had no influence on the knights last year bc it was all Ponga? lol.

He made Ponga play well

All we need is a controlling half

and for those who say there is no such thing -- listen to one of the best Andrew Johns

YES - there is a difference who wears the 7 to the 6

they have to steer the team and kick to the corners -- easier said then done because they are hard to find.

Sezer started well but he's flailing.

If we had Jacko in this side we would be top 8.

Love him or hate him -- all we are missing is a proper #7.

Duno if luai is consistent enough to do that every game

all our attack revolves around Api, looking up, dummy right, dummy left, duck a tackle, do a pass, hope for the best.

Api needs a cleary or someone telling him what to do -- not the other way around.

until we get that we are going to have terrible attack bc no one knows what Api is going to do.

When is the last block play or simple backline shape we ran?
The same bloke who already helped us to a spoon?

Sullivan is the no1 target on the forum now Brooks has departed, but after watching the last two weeks he seems the only one capable of creating anything in attack. Yesterday he actually put on a couple of really good balls that sadly plodders latched onto. His kicking game was not great, but a kicking game is only as good as the chase and our chase was abysmal.

Not saying he is great, but he certainly offers more in attack than most of the team.
When we kick the ball 50-60m downfield even Usain Bolt would have trouble getting there.
They kick deep to get down the other end, but not to the corners and too far to contest.

I know what your saying but you still have to apply pressure with a chase, and there was virtually no chase

Every other club strengthens up mid season, not us.
Schoupp doesn’t even get in Manly’s team when they are full strength, he walks into ours at the moment.
He does, but he's also got a reputation of a wanker, so we probably don't target those types for whatever reason.

I'm not disputing any facts. Just offering another dimension to to your assessment. Just eluding to a player or two who never hit star status with us and yet can stick it to us in an opposing team. Aloaia, Madden, Talau.
So Talau threw the ball over the side line on a number of occasions? Who's to say he didn't pick up that style of play from our coach while at the Tigers?

We haven't kicked the ball 50-60m once all season. Even our kickoffs barely go 45m!Most of our kicks are barely 30-40m, and low. Abysmal, why haven't they improved?

These are errors you learn are unsatisfactory well before going pro.two on ones your centre should do with their eyes closed.
