I’ve already read at least two posts over the last two weeks questioning whether we still even need Luai. I know it’s easy to get carried away after a couple of wins, but God damn.If Latu is as good as advertised you might find we are looking to move Luai for the 2027 season.
Latu here till end of 2027 , nearly 19 years now and he will be 22 years old as he comes off that contractI think Latu should be easier to keep if he wants to play with his brothers. Make Galvin the No. 6 priority, and Latu only needs to be kept happy until Luai's contract runs out. What is the year difference between Latu's contact finishing and Luai's contract finishing?

The truth is No one plays by the rules. He is under contract other clubs can't approach him. No?

That puts it in clear perspective. So we need one of Latu or Galvin to go to lock. The advantages we have are the ability to buy extentions through early upgrades (why a Lomax contract is not what we need right now) and the Fainu brothers together. If the cap is managed well we can handle one other big contract in Luai's. Plus we need to be winning, capitalising on their talent.Latu here till end of 2027 , nearly 19 years now and he will be 22 years old as he comes off that contract
Galvin here till end of 2026 , 19 years in July and he will be 21 years old as he comes off that contract
Luai here til end of 2029, will be 27 going on 28 in January when he arrives next year and he will be 33 in his last year with us. Not too old these days but we're his last contract.
so, some decisions to be made in 2025 for the long term direction we're going. Love the idea of the Fainu brothers becoming a force at the club like Trobeojfjbvoic's at manly.
Anti-Tampering Guidelines
The current ‘anti-tampering’ guidelines state that the NRL will not register a player’s contract with a new club until after Round Thirteen in the final year of that player’s existing contract with his current club. The only exception to this is where the existing club agrees that the new contract should be registered
I think it will be a Ponga moment for the Dragons abit like Newcastle when they offered the teenage Ponga a.massive contract a handful of games and all class from PongaWhen he commands 700K the tigers will offer him that why would he want to change systems
Just told you what I hear from a 57 year old guy who balls deep at the dragonsThat’s a touching story. He’s contracted to us till end of 2026.
Oh I’m not doubting what you heard. Just saying good luck to them, he’s contractedJust told you what I hear from a 57 year old guy who balls deep at the dragons
You can tell their brothers.Congratulations and good luck on your debut, Latu🎉
Happy to see him get this opportunity and I hope he kills it! Wishing him all the best 🙏🏉🐯
Wait till Latu carves it up today and over the next couple of weeks, there will be the same rubbish even though he’s only just started a 4 year contract. There is no reason in the world Galvin would entertain the offer even if it was true.
He’s 18 and the starting 5/8 at the club with no indication of him being moved or dropped.
If the noise was re Latu wanting to leave, it would be somewhat believable, albeit still a stretch given his age and the fact he is here with his brothers/hasn’t debuted yet.
The club (Benji, Richardson etc) are well and truly aware of the talent we have in the halves and it doesn’t take more than common sense to figure out the fact they would have had conversations with the talent to let them know what their position in the club moving forward is.
I.e club may have spoken to them and told them they are both viewed as halves and Fainu will takeover from Luai in due course or Galvin to bulk up to move to lock.
Who knows and who cares, don’t feed the media the bs attention they are seeking
Thanks true every club has target's they want and Galvin would be a long term contract for the Dragons with Hunt's ageOh I’m not doubting what you heard. Just saying good luck to them, he’s contracted
