I'd rather be a fan of a team that's in contention for the top 4/8 every year but never wins rather than being a fan of a team that is perennially mediocre but goes all in for a year, wins a premiership, and then goes back to being mediocre for a long time to follow.

The former and it’s not even close. Winning comps is overrated, it’s the journey over the season that’s most rewarding.

My 05 season highlights DVD has had many more viewings than the GF.

Making the semis very year,. Being a. very. good team but never winning a comp up against what we are now... Crap 99%¶of the time but doing a Bradbury once ,. Winning once then back to garbage
Oh ok thanks for that explanation Ink.

If that’s the case, then no brainer, I would rather us be a good team in contention every season. Losing all the time is highly depressing and demoralising and it only invokes negative criticism which compounds the depression putting us in a never ending cycle of losing which we never seem to be able to get out of. This has been the reality of our last 12 years and I’m bloody sick of it.
