Now we can see why Madge and co are chasing a top class winger because Tommy T is not up to it.. It is and should be a top priority and a guy like Daniel Topou, Blake Ferguson, Isaako should be our target as it cost us the game today..

Talau was so bad that Nofa's two horrible no man's land misreads will be ignored...

Our wingers are the absolute gift that keeps on giving to our opponents.

Talau isn't up to it. He's up to sh.t

Nofa and Talau would both struggle to make the side anywhere else.

Talau needs to see out this season in the centres & then sat down by the coach and told his future is as a damaging ball playing back rower & work all pre-season on learning the craft. In this era, outside backs need to possess some speed & agility.

Talau and nofa made to look bad by poor edge defence, you can’t expect our wingers to mark 2 defenders at one time.

In attack, no problems at all, but defence is an absolute disgrace. If you look at the best clubs, there defence is side line to side line, yet for some reason our wingers stand 15-20 metres in so when defending their opposite is already outside them. The rationale behind the old numbering up and staying on your winger was if a break was made or the ball went wide, the wingers cancelled each other out, the cover defenders had a shorter distance to cover and better chance stopping the play. The only reason I can see for this 15-20meteres in is to encourage an long pass and go for the intercept, a very low IQ and a lower percentage play. If there is another reason could some one explain it please.

We all heard Ennis say that the Tigers right side had 20 tries scored against it so far this season. Well you look deeper into it out of the 60 tackles made by Nofo so far this year he has missed 22 he has a 70% tackle efficiency has been attributed to 15 try causes and 14 line breaks by Fox Sports, and he is one of the first players picked each week. Tommys is almost identical.

Our edge defence has been woeful for years. How hard is it?

It's so frustrating constantly watching Nofo rush out of the line only for his opponent to stroll over untouched. I'd be happy if he only played 150 games for us.

We had two tries scored against us when we had an extra man on the field. Disgraceful

I only wish Nofoaluma defended with the intensity of young Scolari in U21s. You can see Scolari takes the contest with his opponent personally and the desperation in his defence is palpable.

With Leilua and Nofoaluma in the team we will leak points. I don't believe there is room in this style of game to carry two poor defenders in the outside backs.

I am a bit nervous about Maguire chasing any player. His future must now be sealed. A new coach should have full access to all $ available.

Talau is not up to it his defence is terrible. Nofo's defence is terrible for 150 games but he can find the line and we have him for 4 years
sign isaako asap and Ferguson or something.

Someone explain please why we always put less players when defending our short side near the try line than the opposition?
Every try, Nofa is in shot alongside the centre and their winger is standing another 2 metres wider on the sideline out of the frame.

If we are calling out Nofa and Talaus decision making as a reaction to the poor edge defence, can’t it be avoided if they stand closer to the wing?
Push everyone over another meter and poor Laurie wouldn’t have to tackle everyone on the sideline.

Mind you that is what they are told isn’t it, to use the sideline as an extra defender.

Just same scenario on repeat. Ball goes wide, and our centre is marking their fullback and our winger is marking their centre.
If we had the quickest wingers in the game it would be fine. But we probably have the two slowest, dummest and least agile.

No, but you can expect them to mark one player. Some of the things Nofa does in defence are inexcusable. He appears to panic when he counts the numbers.
