What do we do at hooker?

Simpkin will get better but still probably not quite top first grader, Liddle is good in patches but gets tired and fades badly. Even rotating them better in a match, I think we need to improve this position. Choppy service from both. Particular concern is defensive problems, both don't seem to be able to stay with the game. It really impacts both attack and defense.

Any good players available?

Also agree with earlier suggestions by others that Brooks could prove a good hooker.

Somehow the hookers always get the blame when the other players are the ones always making errors

i think a different rotation with them both in the lineup would be a slution. Like liddle for 30 then jake for 30 and liddle to finish. They both show a lot of potential and offer different things.

I think that they both have a lot of upside. Liddle is strong in defence save the Pangai effort today - but 10m out from your own line is not the place for defenders to drop off & go for a strip.

He again chose the right time to run from dummy half and set up a try.

I would like the coach to show a bit of flexibility and find a point in the game where you can have both on the field at the same time

He waits until we're out of the contest before he makes subs. Why not bring em on fresh while there is still an opportunity to compete. Why did Amone play 13 minutes? why have him there at all?

They need to be utilised better by Madge. It looks like he is just trialling them out there. Our bench use has been very poor this year. Liddle has a crisper pass at this stage and is quicker. Simpkin is more deceptive our of dummy half and controlling the ruck imo.

Came on the scene and looked good in the NRL, disappeared to England and was never spoken of again....

He played 13 minutes because they scored 3 tries in his 13 mins and then didnt score once he went off

I think Jakes first wide pass is his strength and he always seems to get it out in front of the ball runner and gets us going forward. Both hookers have some bad ones in them too which along with defensive errors is a problem

It was only 2. Doubt he was the gaping hole you're making him out to be.

Didn't see it personally. When we get near the try line Liddle always throws a shocker and slows us down, it's very frustrating. Defensively Liddle was a bit better but Simpkin was okay too, neither are great defenders at this point.
