I don’t think like that. That’s an easy response, why not inform us all what position you would spend the least money on.
Fair enoughI don’t think like that.
Seriously, would you really have guys like Farnworth, Crichton, Manu, Staggs, Tago, Holmes, Ramien etc…earning less than benchies?Fair enough
such a key defensive position helping 5/8, setting up wingers, and scoring triesThank Christ you aren’t in charge.
I would have thought we have well and truly proven how hard it is to win without good ones. This comp has a number of elite ones.such a key defensive position helping 5/8, setting up wingers, and scoring tries
It is the toughest technical defensive position in the game - even when you have the good fortune of a winger with a clue outside you!I would have thought we have well and truly proven how hard it is to win without good ones. This comp has a number of elite ones.
Of cause not,Seriously, would you really have guys like Farnworth, Crichton, Manu, Staggs, Tago, Holmes, Ramien etc…earning less than benchies?
Fifita is one of the highest paid rep forwards in the game - but the Titans are still struggling to know how to get the best out of him - so he was a situational reserve in the game today.Of cause not,
I’m not talking about established teams rather building a team from scratch.
I would spend more on 2x Reserve forwards than my centres.
Like today I would guess for the Gold Coast
Reserve: David Fifita would be on more $ than Centres: Brian Kelly & Aaron Schoupp
&
Melbourne
Reserve: Nelson Asofa-Solomona
Centres: Remis Smith & Nick Meaney
Everyone has opinions that others either agree with or not,
On this one it looks like we don’t agree.
Which is fine.
Lomax loses more games than he wins for his team and is on another $250,000+ per season for a wingerI must be in the minority, don’t think he’s worth $450,000. He’s a good finisher in a great team, hope it translates to a poor team like ours! He’s not like Slomax or Taylan May who are line breakers with good in and always.
For the money a good signing not a great one though. $400,000 would of been better.
Good thing the brains trust brought in a highly respected professional recruitment manager on the advice of Ray Hadley....Honestly, Wests Tigers recruitment division...
GIVE THEM A GOLD MEDAL!
Serious where we are as a club, how they can recruit those in demand players is just Amazing.
Luai
Api
Olam
...
I have no idea what they are doing, but they are somehow landing top shelf names in a side that got the wooden spoon twice. Whatever our club is doing wrong, recruitment is one thing we are doing right*.
*I could not imagine saying this in say, 2021...
May signed for $500,000 and is bigger more mobile and will win u more games. As BB wrote how many shrimps in your backline can u have?? I just think he looks good on the end of a great team, not outstanding! People where going off their reciters at paying one of our wingers $500,000.Lomax loses more games than he wins for his team and is on another $250,000+ per season for a winger
May is not somebody who would meet broader club standards - and also costs an extra $150K
Overrated and overpriced A-holes are not the easy answer!
Most definately, Center is a very under rated position.such a key defensive position helping 5/8, setting up wingers, and scoring tries
450 is a pretty standard contract in this day and age. When you consider minimum wage is around 120-150, it’s totally fine. How much were you expecting to get a premiership winning winger for?I must be in the minority, don’t think he’s worth $450,000. He’s a good finisher in a great team, hope it translates to a poor team like ours! He’s not like Slomax or Taylan May who are line breakers with good in and always.
For the money a good signing not a great one though. $400,000 would have been better.
Nah, it's rocket science.Good thing the brains trust brought in a highly respected professional recruitment manager on the advice of Ray Hadley....
Scott Fulton has been excellent!
Oh - scrap that!
There is no "recruitment division" or Football Manager - JUST a competent CEO working with his football department to build a competitive squad....
It is not rocket science - but still eluded the other pricks who ran the joint into the ground!
