Parramatta Eels star Dylan Brown has been charged with five counts of sexual touching after an incident at a Double Bay pub on Saturday night.

The Daily Telegraph can reveal that police were called to the Golden Sheaf after a 20-year-old woman told staff at the venue about an alleged incident involving the NRL star.

In a statement, NSW Police said Brown would face Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday.

“About 11.40pm yesterday officers attached to Eastern Suburbs PAC were called to a hotel on South Head Rd at Double Bay following a report of sexual touching,” the statement read. “Police arrested a 22-year-old man he was taken to Waverley Police Station where he has been charged with sexually touch another person without consent.

“He was granted bail to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday, June 7.”

In addition to the five charges an interim apprehended violence order (AVO) was also taken out by police.

Under the conditions of his bail, Brown must report to police once daily between 08:00 AM and 10:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday, Friday.

The stupidity of NRL players never ceases to amaze me. You’re playing the game you enjoy, the game so many fans wishing they could do what you do, but you insist on pissing it away with your lack of common decency.

Before we hang him, let's wait until we have all the facts, it could quite easily be a set up.

Regardless of all that he is still an idiot for letting himself get anywhere near a situation like that, it's not like all these high profile players aren't recognized by half the population.
