Paris Olympics: 26 July 2024 – Sun, 11 Aug 2024

Who's in the OP and which legend did she beat?
Torrie Lewis is the Aussie teen.

The title is clickbait, she did beat Sha'Carri Richardson (the reigning women's 100m world champion) but Richardson hasn't even competed in an Olympics yet (let alone be an Olympic legend).

And Paris - here we come too:

38.46-seconds and second across the line in Round 2 at the World Athletics Relay Championships sees our Men's 4x100m relay team off to Paris. Congratulations to Sebastian Sultana, Jacob Despard, Calab Law and Joshua Azzopardi for getting the job done!

5th in the world!
After a record-breaking performance yesterday, the Australian Women's 4x100m relay team comprising of Ebony Lane, Bree Masters, Ella Connolly & Torrie Lewis have backed up to finish fifth in the final, registering 43.02.
0.22-seconds off a medal and with lots more to come, the Aussies are putting the world on notice in time for Paris.

For Chris Mitrevski, an Olympic berth is a relief rather than a surprise. Living three years on the precipice of qualification marked by the constant refreshing of world rankings and chasing points around Europe, the long jumper put an end to his Olympic wait with his sixth and final jump at the Australian Championships

Australia will battle for the first Olympic medals on offer in the Marathon Race Walk Mixed Relay in Paris, qualifying two teams tonight at the World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships, while teenager Isaac Beacroft led the country’s juniors to gold and bronze with a history-making performance in Antalya, Turkiye
