The Roosters are on course to be given salary cap relief following their acquisition of Wallabies winger Mark Nawaqanitawase........ www. Roar.com

And don't believe for a moment that Uncle Nick didn't already know about this and negotiations with the player were not already going on well before the NRL announced it, hey he probably came up with the idea. It's handy having the NRL in your pocket.

I thought there was already a rule in place if you signed a player from another sport, in particular rugby you could apply for cap compensation.

Maybe it opens the door for us to get some compensation with our efforts to keep rugby away from a few of our kids. Iam sure Uncle Nick would have the NRL under writing the contracts if the kids were aligned to the Chooks.

Can we get retrospective salary cap relief for signing Junior Tupou, how about Lote Tuqiri then?

This is more NRL BS.
We better get some help when it comes to retaining our youth like Large.

Not only did they sign a wallaby for 450k
(best back for them this year) but we are
suppose to believe he turned down 700k+
from the Waratahs, and 1m offer from
Japanese rugby to sign with them - where
they'll get salary cap dispensation haha.
He's going to love scampering from dummy
half and doing dirty meters for 300k less
a year in a British & Irish Lions tour year.
Chooks are so devious how they do biz lol

Ohly reason I can see him wanting to take a pay cut is the reduced amount of travel
But that’s a fair stretch of reality imo

The block of flats plus Tasmania got him over the line.

Played both mate, you do a lot of standing around on the sting.that’s why the league fellas always come back.
Played in the backs mainly little bit of lock and flanker
I was always pushing on in attack and really enjoyed my time playing
Also helps if you’re team is onboard aswell
To me it doesn’t matter what code you play how well you enjoy it has more to do with the people you play with
I definitely prefer watching league though

2 things.... if they are considering banning a forward running hard from the kick off for health reasons does that also mean taps also and what is the point of forwards in the game in the future???

2. With the bell ringing for 6 again ... can the opposing team challenge the bell? Why is the 6 again Gospel? And who rings the bell?
