Almost every tigers game this season has been blighted by poor refereeing, but going further back in our history, two moments of gross incompetence that stick out for me were:
1. Souths v Tigers 2004. The ref forgot to stop play after the first period of golden point and South scored in the 89th minute. There was talk of a legal challenge but nothing came of it. We missed the finals by 2 pts that season.
2. Manly v Tigers 2014. Ashley Klein didn't hear the halftime siren and allowed Manly an extra set in which they scored. Fortunately it didn't impact the result and Klein copped little more than a slap across the wrist.
Nothing eclipses today's farcical ending but can anyone remember any other moments like that?
