Lachlan Galvin #277

^ That’s not fully true.
He is one of our playmakers and we are not scoring nearly enough points.
He's creating enough half chances for the team to be scoring. The outside backs are not doing their jobs.

Sezer and Jahream doing far worse in pulling their playmaking weight.

He does lack a bit of pace which is made worse with Sezer who is even slower. I think once Luai is here they will complement each other nicely.

Sullivan has been rubbish and we can't play 2 18 year old halves together so we're stuck with who we have for this year.

This highlights one of our needs in our spine - a player that has exceptional acceleration & quick stride turn-over to turn small gaps into line-breaks (think Reece Walsh, AJ Brimson, Jye Gray, even Dylan Edwards & Tedesco have that fast leg turnover).

Galvin is reasonably quick, Bula is fast in a fluid motion kinda way, Luai is reasonably quick. Hoping Latu Fainu can get confidence back in his hammies to showcase this. Heath Mason is the one that has the potential here currently on our books. And Tallyn also would be one of the faster hookers around.

He’s one of our best every week but he is too deep and is standing still when he gets the ball too much.

No doubt he’ll fix that with a bit more experience which is pretty scary. Just needs a few more to play at his level.

The amount of times in the Doggies game where he was looking for a runner and no one put their hand up...just staggering.

I think this is the reality. Stick with these 2 for the year.

Too much running across the ruck and field today. Mostly running his options out of space. If he wants to create numbers then he must get in better position before the the ball is delivered or continue to the outside of Sezer, possibly through a run around.

Olam and his winger needed a blanket to keep themselves warm in attack for most of the match.

So, your blaming our best player for the incompetence of our backline?
Give yourself an uppercut.

Multiple times he was waiting for someone to run onto him. More than once he was barking at players to run onto the ball and they just looked around. Galvin is trying and showing more intent/effort than nearly most of the squad around him.

Our squad is in all sorts of trouble, the 2nd half they switched off and some players just gave up.
