Turuva had performances that helped Penrith turn momentum and win games. Hard to see him stand out from the wing but he as just as beneficial to that side as their Origin winger To’o. Bula was good but not as good and prehaps not getting the award is a blessing in disguise.
Do we remember the last WT player to win the rookie of the year?

Bula is going to be worth every cent of his contract unless injured, name another fullback coming through with the same potential and maturity after a handful of games. His defence if very good, great under the high ball and eases into the back line with great hands, he will develop, just needs a Team that gets momentum and wins games.

He was definitely on track, but he sort of plateaued towards the end of the year. Can’t argue against a Panthers winger on the end of that backline.
