Hope he goes to Penrith..So much respect for that team...QUOTE="Demps, post: 1931055, member: 4442"]
I guess they don't want Stefano any more.
A guess at best.. Steph could do with a coach that brings out the best in him.Hope he goes to Penrith..So much respect for that team...QUOTE="Demps, post: 1931055, member: 4442"]

I'm kinda thinking head coachFootball Operations Manager, guiding Benji all the way 🤝
Perfect.
Let’s just keep sending the best teams to the teams at the top of the ladder, might as well have an 8 team competition.A guess at best.. Steph could do with a coach that brings out the best in him.
He could become one of the greatest wingers if he really focuses, but he is young so he’s got time to figure it out, but has to do it sooner rather than later. He might have speed similar to Addo-Carr but he’s not there yet in regards to being another Addo-Carr. But still he’s currently not available. Have to see if he does become available.I think it’s a young Addo-Carr vibes with his blinding speed and a coach who is concerned about a wingers defence when the attacking positives far outweigh any defensive negatives.
Unless Benji steps down or is willing to accept help from someone more experienced like Bennett, Benji will at least be head coach until next year. He’ll have a chance to work with Luai at least before they decide to cut the cord.I'm kinda thinking head coach
We would have to offer at least a million minimum and if we’re willing to not to spend that on AFB, I don’t see us spending it on Fifita. I think he wants to win a premiership so good chance he’ll end up at Panthers. Unless his love for QLD outweighs a move to NSW.David Fifita anyone?
The sad part is that apart from Api…who else from the current squad can they bring into the side that can make an immeadiate difference ?
If you say Toa… he won’t move the needle a nanometer….
Should fit in well. 1 out 10 ain't bad.Toa has multiple deficiencies but he can break the line with footwork, a rare quality in our putrid side. He's overdue for a good game - they're usually 1 in 10.
Yes unfortunately Glen, as talented as Marshall was coaching wise I feel he's on par with barrettUnless Benji steps down or is willing to accept help from someone more experienced like Bennett, Benji will at least be head coach until next year. Just because they are cheap, it doesn't make it moneyball. Cotric would be a money waste.I wouldn't be against it, if and only if you got him on a cheap deal. Like a Moneyball type signing
Agree. Has a good fend and is the most likely in our top 30 to beat a man one on one.Toa has multiple deficiencies but he can break the line with footwork, a rare quality in our putrid side. He's overdue for a good game - they're usually 1 in 10.
Fifita's a bludger already, imagine what he would be like here.We would have to offer at least a million minimum and if we’re willing to not to spend that on AFB, I don’t see us spending it on Fifita. I think he wants to win a premiership so good chance he’ll end up at Panthers. Unless his love for QLD outweighs a move to NSW.
Just to be on the safe side why can't we just find a benevolent sponsor that has a shit load of money and appreciates a really nice jersey and doesn't want to ruin it with some sort of tasteless motif.Brydens gone as major sponsor after this year.
Going to be a lot of jersey sales once that putrid logo is off the front.
I’m willing to give Benji at least until next year before making the call if he’ll be a dud coach. Bit of a wait I know but the roster isn’t exactly the strongest. We’ve seen what we can do when we’re on the Sharks and Eels games are proof of that, just struggle with being able to maintain that.Yes unfortunately Glen, as talented as Marshall was coaching wise I feel he's on par with barrett
It would be a bad signing for us.Fifita's a bludger already, imagine what he would be like here.
No chance Willison would be on anywhere near that much in his next contract! Even 400-500k would be a huge stretch.I know what you are getting at, our young players would be a lot less value in the Salary Cap than the ones you have mentioned, but these other clubs are not silly, they don’t recruit under sized players unless they have sone exceptional qualities such as speed, stamina, power & aggression etc
Our two you have mentioned don’t have exceptional speed to overcome their lack of size and in Faagatu’s case he doesn’t appear to have much stamina either.
We’d be looking at paying 700-800k per season to be any chance of recruiting someone like Willison. Maybe he’s worth that money purely on potential with his elite size, speed and athleticism, but we won’t have that type of money to spend unless we offload a hell of a lot of deadwood first,
I personally think it’s a lost cause, but retaining Stef should be our first priority and then adding a big powerful impact forward such as Willison or someone similar would be ideal.
As for wingers Stonestreet would be a fantastic addition if we could somehow get him as would Jeral Skelton and possibly a sneaky play at Khan-Pereira while he’s not getting in the Titans NRL side.
We just have to hope Luai works for us in the halves and we need something to assist our back row, but again we won’t be in a position tn attract anyone unless we offload some deadwood.
