Most skilful player / GOAT debate

NSW media always tried to put him on the same level as Wally when it came to Origin. Wally dominated almost every series he played. Joey didn’t.
Wally also played in a second tier competition most of his career. Sure he dominated origin/tests but that’s about it.

Bloke passes the ball to his outside man from a scrum and he's a superstar. What an exaggeration. He was a good halfback but the most overrated player of all time.

Agree on exaggerating that pass, but most overrated player ever? hahahahahahahaha

Im a Qlder and i assure you that 3rd game in 2005 when he had 165 try assists🤣, id count him as better than good.

The fix was on in 05 to get him the Dally M medal. Tele gave him 3 points in the last round in a game Newcastle lost. Thankfully Thurston still won it that year.

Agreed. He and Thurston are two of the most protected players in the game, ever. Didn't matter what they did, it was covered up.
Regardless of the sport, you need a story.

No Joey completely dominated week in week out in the hardest competition in the world and dragged a bog average team to finals and premierships.
Joey was super talented and proved it, no doubt! However, he has admitted that it was drug-assisted.

Regardless, the only conversation I want to have is how do we sign Bradman Best?
