Strong debut from James. Another one through to the NRL from our development system. Obviously, identification, recruitment, and development at the junior level is working well - Pole, Bula, Tupou, Da Silva and James are proof. A few more and the club will lift itself from the bottom.
It is a big feather in our cap for identifying and recruiting him. His development to the NRL through our system is also a win. We are never going to buy our way to the top 8 so recruitment in this way has been good for WTs.Don't know if we can claim James, we poached him from Parra. As a matter of interest, he played against our undefeated jersey flegg side, the only one of whom has amounted to anything is Pole.
Some halves to lead our attack.Strong debut from James. Another one through to the NRL from our development system. Faagutu and Feledy are two more realistic additions to our squad from within. No doubt there are more. It's a good start and further proof we can bridge the gap.According to our coach they are 100 games off being first graders, let’s see where they are in 5 years.
We've a lot of good people in our development system working hard to identify, retain and nurture our best players. These initiatives which are now in place as part of Pathways are reaping dividends.Pascoe and Lee have not proven they can retain our best juniors, that’s been one of their absolute worst areas of performance. So it proves nothing to me.
