Have been impressed with Samuela Fainu at backrow. Personally (assuming we keep Stefano…) I’d be prioritising a right edge back rower so Bateman can move to the bench and I’d likely keep Papa at 13. Below is what I’d be hoping for next year….think it makes us competitive. Question mark on...

I like Bateman but not at 13. In a good side he’d be on the bench covering second row and centre and would be a good option if your down points and need something out of the box. Problem is we’re not a good side. Personally I’d move him to the right side back row and have papalii playing in the...

I really don’t think the issue is coaching or use of the bench. Sure not perfect and room for improvement but we are losing games because the other team have better players. We have by far the worst 1 - 7 in the comp.

Simpkin played well. No nonsense first grader there - would like to see him play some more games off the bench to give Api a rest though understand the logic of having Latu at 14. Tonight showed even with the growth of our young forwards, we really are another starter short (at a minimum)...

Just wish Bateman and Papali'i would switch positions otherwise team picks itself at the moment.
