As always it comes down to the administration of the club and flows downwards from there imho.We have had terrible leadership in the club for an eon and when you have poor quality people making the decisions you usually get poor results at all levels.
The main problem is some players get away with it for years especially some of the bigger names so many other players copy.It needs a few of the top liners to get busted for things to change
It brings back zero memories of the 80's to me as i was a Balmain Tiger's supporter and we had a team that other clubs feared to play,the opposite of where we are today
I know some will say that this is just meaningless fluff to keep the plebs happy and keep him in a job (under the old admin that thought would probably be accurate).However it was always going to be a huge job to turn around the massive entrenched failures that our club seems to wallow in.

I certainly agree with your comments about Bula but not Seyfarth as he not only is playing with passion but also backing up his teammates.He will never be a world beater but is the style of player that you need in your squad
