2024 State of Origin Teams

The turd has been flushed. I almost feel sorry for him because his form has been stellar this season, but Edwards is the most deserving origin debutant of all time. I hope he kills it.

As a QLDer I love the NSW team...

Dead set how is Api overlooked.

Can only assume Madge is holding a grudge against Tigers but gives him a time off to refresh

Not a fan of Suaalii in the centres. No real issues elsewhere even if I'd have gone differently in a few other positions.

His form has been great in the centres. Personally I would have picked Latrell and put Suaalii on the wing, but I'm ok with Suaallii in the centres.

Crazy. Axe the incumbent skipper who is in good form. Add Wighton preferring to remain retired then represent NSW and its easy to see why Qld claim Origin means more to them.

As usual there is no choice when its in your blood so i'll be behind the team 100%, but it's not a team that brings me much faith to get the job done.

The team reported by Channel 9:

1. Dylan Edwards
2. Brian To’o
3. Stephen Crichton
4. Joseph Sua’ali’i
5. Zac Lomax
6. Jarome Luai
7. Nicho Hynes
8. Payne Haas
9. Reece Robson
10. Jake Trbojevic (c)
11. Angus Crichton
12. Liam Martin
13. Cameron McInnes

14. Isaah Yeo
15. Haumole Olakau’atu
16. Spencer Leniu
17. Hudson Young

18. Matt Burton
19. Luke Keary
Yeo not starting infront of McInnes is stupidity, and Api should be there other than that its decent i guess. Only thing i will say going by that is they aren't carrying another hooker on the bench which might be why Api didnt get the nod, but McInnes could do that for 15 mins if need be.

As much as I would like to see api in there, he’s busted playing as one of a few first graders for the Tigers…
I’m secretly glad he missed out to preserve his body. Looks like he and Cook, like Teddy, are yesterdays news.
The team doesn’t excite me at all, and can’t believe MacInnes would start instead of Yeoh. Happy for Edwards, he deserves it, but a few others don’t do it for me. Anyway, not long till game one.

I think has picked the best “team” moving forward. Yeo as a super sub could be interesting.

Madge taking a few risks here. Mciness is tough but QLD will go after him. Latrell at centre is a superior player to Sualili. Robson can’t pass out of hooker well Api is a superior player and experienced.

This team is built for dummy half running. QLD will beat NSW convincingly. We lack size and Nico buckles under pressure.

I just hope they don’t throw in Api and Uto after the hiding.

Keen to see Olakau’atu come on. I reckon he’s going to be our game breaker as the QLD side gets fatigued. Like others have said though, not overly enthused and think we’re a prop short.
