Wests Tigers have been made aware that player Tim Simona is currently under investigation by the NRL Integrity Unit in regards to allegations of breaches of the rules relating to gambling on NRL matches.

If true, what an idiot.

The NRL have posted on their website their intention to cancel his registration. Maybe this was behind the club trying to move him on?

Lols that would explain a lot with Tims performances throughout his career. But he hasn't been found guilty of anything yet. So I will just keep on thinking he's just a plain dud !
Well its nearly time to have a 'CRACK'....Go you :sign:

Now its all starting to make sense! Innocent until proven guilt, but you must think NRL have some hard evidence to sack him not just stand him down.

I think we should replace him with Jordan Kahu, he would be a nice pickup because he can kick

I agree... It doesn't look good for Simona if they are cancelling his contract straight up rather than standing him down pending an investigation.

Well I guess the upside is that the cap issue may now be solved... but the downside is that Kev and Rankin probably just confirmed their spots...

Really disappointed to read this. I liked Simona as a player and as a West Tiger. Why on earth would he ruin his whole career like this - man it is soooo dumb!

My worst fears are coming true - Rankin will now be a part of our NRL team for 2017!
