I've gotta ask what is the big deal. about Kirkham Oval.... It seems like it's miles.from anywhere yet were always playing trials there

Surely there's somewhere more accessible if some supporters wanted to attend... Easier by public transport?

At least today the weather's kind... It always seems to be in the middle of a heatwave we're playing there....gunna be quite hot tomorrow they reckon

I would say it’s probably because it represents the Group 6 region, which belongs to Wests Tigers.

It’s mainly the Macarthur Wests Tigers teams that play there, which are made up of kids from both the Western Suburbs and Group 6 comps.

Balmain & Wests should both play at Concord
Oval. 4k capacity, such a waste of space. The
grace is so pristine, saving it for 1st grade, West
Harbour rugby will still train & play there they'll
tear it up anyway. It's been a very long off season

Would be great to see even a trial match there...agree its stupid, its being underutilised

True Wests Tigers fans understand the significance of Kirkham Oval.

Balmain SG Ball were leading 18 -4 just before half time. Then Cronulla scored. 18-10 at half time.
Never scored again.
IMO ------- The big front rowers are overweight and not fit enough!
Sovau, Tuala and Taula, run out off puff in quick time and look for a rest after one hard run.
Caden Close is a defensive nightmare. And not superfast as I was led to believe.
Disappointed with Cameron Kanaan. Slow; and rarely in attack mode.
Tannous was good with his in play kicking but didn't run the ball to often.
Xavier went OK as did Benson at 5/8 and the back 3 forwards worked hard.
Just my take on what I saw.
Good luck for the coach.

I wasn’t there but heard Tannous got injured and it was all downhill from there.

Not a great first hit out.
Any players that look likely to move up the grades over the next few years with a bit of work?

Didn't see anything today to worry the other candidates or progress further. The big guys got bigger and slower. Don't look like committed trainers or have the desire to get to NRL level IMO. The second rowers and lock tried hard but not overly big at the moment.
No one stood out to threaten the Wests Magpies SG Ball side by the sound of it.

That’s a shame man, thanks.
