If we can ask more questions of the opposition defence in their 20 metre area it will take pressure off our defence. I agree with many on here that the team are trying hard in defence, but if your attack is poor it gets hard to keep it up. It reminds me of when my daughter played netball one...
I have thought the same thing, Tucker. To be honest I have not seen enough of him and his time in 1st grade has been limited and out of his main position, but I do know we need to address our attack in the opposition 20. He really couldn't do much worse than what we have offered in this area...
Wow Tommy Talau not where he should have been. Manly win the game if he was where he should have been to collect DCE pass and run 10 metres to score. Now Parra score at the other end.
Yeh, what's the go with Campbelltown. It's been like Tombstone for us - and we have never been on the side of Wyatt Earp. Maybe this week.........maybe not. Hope the boys continue to put in.
I think today's game will inform me of my expectations for the season. If they still try to run all their plays through Api, we are done. Conversely, if the halves add a dimension to the attack and get the defence having to guess then there is hope. Add some resolute defence and we will...
This was what I was wondering when watching him play in the trials. Geez I hope Benji doesn't fall back to a boring, no mistakes style of play. We'll get nowhere if that's the style of play he is looking for.
I'm hearing you K man. Their performance was ranged from abysmal to a bit better than abysmal. I will give them 5 weeks and then reassess, but like others on here, it was such groundhog day to last year...and the year before....and the year before....you get what I mean. The only good thing to...
I agree the title in 2005 was unexpected, especially half way through the year. But the lowest winning margin in our 4 finals game was 8 points against the Dragons. We put on 50 odd against the Cowboys, then beat Brisbane by 20 odd. Saints in the prelim and winning margin of 14 in the grand...
I agree it is a dice role, but one I am pleased we are having. Our outside backs need bolstering, like right now. Let's see how he performs in a new environment.
Lobb looked good finishing. What stood out for me from the video is Bud is a natural footballer. The way he read when and where to throw the pass, where (and how) to draw defenders and where a gap presented itself for him to run was really pleasing. I am looking forward to seeing him play this year.
In another post we discussed the type of lock forward we would like. There is no reason that in the future Lachlan could not transition to a ball playing lock. With proper weights training he might fill out like Isaih Yeo, who was also a tall lanky type when he first came to Penrith. If he turns...
an ideal lock for me is in the mould of Victor Radley, Isaiah Yeo, Cameron Murray. All three can mix it with the big men, but also have ballplaying ability. We need a lock of this type IMO.
