He will have a crack when he gets back and hopefully he fires. I don’t know how you play in the backs with 3 ACL injuries when you weren’t quick before them.
Where I always wanted him to play. Ultimately if and when he gets fit he will want to play 6. Great dude but we need pace poor guy running on 3 ACL injuries is not a good bet.
Doesn’t suit us too many halves, fullback and back up fullback already here and Suruva coming. Would be surplus and playing NSW cup. Had his time injury unfortunate.
Unfortunately we have zero better options than the team we ran out this week. Pole to 13 to replace Papalli and Kepoa in for Bateman. I like Kit Laulili can provide some punch off the bench.
Dolphins on a fast track are a very bad matchup for us as a slow team.
Bula given age and performance is our best player and prospect. We need to stop criticising good players because of a bad overall team. The deficiencies are clearly in the outside backs.
We can turnover the roster 15/30 by the start of 2026 season. Core players Bula, Olam, Turuva, Luai, Galvin, Sam Fainu, Uto?, Pole, Api. Players projected to leap Laulili, Miller, TDS, Makasini, Large Bros?
High priced players that I’d be highly surprised are there would be Klemmer, Bud...
It was self inflicted if you put Naden and Bud defending in the same side again Bradman Best you get what you deserves.
It’s a reason I’m hopeful our problems are based on players not the overall system.
Bomber Morris deserves credit we are a better team than last year big improvement.
Injuries happen I don’t think it’s the existing injury. At the end of the day we have no cattle out wide Naden, Staines, Toa Alaimalo are not first graders in good teams.
The imbalanced roster is the problem we lack the talent and depth required to win.
The team is more than competitive in most games. We lack a playmaker of quality and a few outside backs.
Luai and Turuva are great signings but we have to find another 2 quality outside backs in addition. I liked the look early of Papalli at 13 before injury moved him wide. Big Sua would be...
Unfortunately we don’t have enough quality first graders too many weak links. Onto next year really.
Bula, Olam, Turuva, Luai, Sam Fainu, Papalli, Uto, Pole, Bateman, Twal, Galvin.
We have 11 competent first graders you probably need 20 at least in a roster and some kids taking chances...
Second hand but I’ve heard we are offering 5 years 3.8m averaging 760k p.a for Uto. Big money but a fair deal for the player and the club. I have no issues with it tbh. I hope they lock it down we need to retain core younger players to build the squad over the long term. If we are any chance...
Uto has to be signed and I doubt Tigers will over pay with Richo in charge. The kid sounds like he wants to stay longer term deal usually comes at a discount but also some deals are not linked to the salary cap increases so they get cheaper as they run.
Wingers are more involved bringing the ball out where we struggle. Bula has been very good defensively which is key. Young player with lots to learn wouldn’t move him unless it’s a rep player you are bringing in. The kid is in his second season needs as much time as possible.
The quality, sponsorship value and length of the new sponsor should be telling as to the true nature of all past relationships under previous management.
If you end up with a National or International company sponsoring on a higher value it is telling that previous deals were not favourable...
The bloke putting him through holes. I think Tigers believe they have addressed that in Luai. Moses is a fair player as was Dylan Brown. You don’t let players like that go until you get the halves right. Luai and Galvin should be a good pairing.
Our forward pack is built around the dummy half getting forwards onto the ball. Yesterday showed you the value of Api to the team against a rushing defence. We do the simple things wrong don’t get up and play the ball fast enough, one up hit ups without support, lack of offloads. It’s easy to...
The ref allowed WWE today and offsides. The difference is bulldogs are coached to break the rules smartly and we play fair. Our forwards get hit as soon as catching the ball and we make no metres out of trouble. All the field position goes to the Dogs.
I applaud them it’s the Panthers method...
