That was really strange there. The ref called surrender but refused to blow the penalty. He used the short whistle and waited 10 seconds. During that time Brooksy, scarred from the short whistle debacle, was yelling to DCE to challenge but DCE was about 1 second too late… Should have been a penalty but the ref didn’t have the gumption to give it.

Voluntary tackles are illegal but surrender tackles aren't? I get what you're saying and it's a dumb thing to do, but I couldn't tell you the last time someone got pinged for it. It would have been interesting if Manly challenged the call. It's a shame they panned to Ricky, you couldn't tell how long he was on the ground before Manly touched him or they called full-time.
 
Bloody Voss tells us 30 seconds before kick off the stat about Canberra bouncing back every time the following week, when beaten by zero the week prior....I didnt have time and they were $4 something I think

I dont know the difference between surredner or voluntary

While I am glad it means we don’t have him, how does Klein get this match?
 
I know it’s petty, but it drives me crazy the amount of times Ennis replies “yeah” anytime the lead commentator makes a point.

For those of us who are vintage age that statement couldn't be more wrong.
In honour of the late Ron Brodrick who Roy Masters said had a hatred for Manly that surpassed all others that hatred will never die.
