Round 12: 25-28 May vs North Queensland Cowboys >>>> GWS play Sat May 26
Round 19: 13-16 July vs Penrith Panthers >>>> GWS play Sun July 15

Thats just silly... They are simply reducing there potential yeild. AFL & the NRL need to understand they will 'BOTH' survive in the Western Sydney corridor and should work together to maximise crowd numbers.

Lack of vision and a siege mentality was the main reason we had the ARL War!!! deadhorse.gif
Gee and here I was thinking that the ARL and Superleague wars was due to 2 Greedy Businessman and some wanna be high rolling CEO's I'm sure it had nothing to do with the Fans (who are the game)

Had a look at the ground being developed at Homebush on the Daily Telegraph website this morning. The site will be the homeground for the Greater Western Sydney AFL club. It looks good. I believe it is beiing developed usinf State Government money. Wouldn't it have been handy to have such a development built for NRL teams, particularly Wests Tigers. Homebush offers an approximate focal point for Wests Tigers supporters, the ground is more compact than ANZ Stadium and offers parking and transport access. Ask Ink has said, 'can't wait for the day we have one ground only."

Not everyone works in town....

We're playing the best drawing teams at the SFS, no doubt channel 9 will opt for some of these

Cant wait for the day we have ONE ground only/.

Could not agree more. They will both do better if they work together.

2 million people live in the western suburbs of sydney, both can easily thrive in the area.

Im a league fan first and foremost, but love all sports, and appreciate what AFL has done for junior sport in the west pumping money and energy and getting kids on the sporting fields.

Agree, while I live at Penrith and I don't mind the drive down to Cambo, getting there from the City where I work on a Monday night is Hell!

SFS should have the Monday night & Friday Night Games and leave Leichardt and Cambo for the Saturday/Sunday Games.

Very uninteresting opponents for Leichhardt, with two out of town teams and two with no following. What about Souths, Saints or Manly? Something to generate some passion and atmosphere? I think they have got it exactly correct. You have to play to Roosters at either Campbelltown or Leichhardt. There are many Penrith and Parramatta fans in Campelltown area plus they are on the outer borders of Wests Tigers.

There could be an argument to move Manly to Leichhardt/Campbelltown and move Cronulla back to the SFS, however you have to play Souths, Dragons, Dogs, Broncos at the SFS/SCG as they are massive games and beyond the capacity of Leichhardt/Campbelltown.

In addition, SFS gets to pick its allocation. Looks like Parra is now on the nose with the SFS after a dramatic fall from the high of the infamous clash in 2009. Lovely.....downward spiral into oblivion....

CT The Tigers v Melbourne game will be one of the clashes of the season and Happy would sell his soul to get to that one (Sorry sold my soul already for 2005)

Allocations are pretty much as expected. Good to have the two Western Sydney derbies at Campbelltown as well.

No doubt the Parramatta match will be played on a Monday night. Nothing brings young families to a rugby league match like a Monday night in the middle of winter.

Glad to see we aren't playing the roosters at the SFS, smart move imo.
