BRET vs Wests Match Report

Written by Balmain Tigers on .

altThe Australian Power and Gas Balmain Ryde-Eastwood Tigers have recorded their first victory of 2011 with a resounding 36-22 win over sister club the Wests Magpies at Campbelltown Stadium on Saturday.

The Tigers got off to a superb start with centre Jake Clarke crossing out wide after 4 minutes finishing off a slick backline movement.  Fullback Jake Mullaney didn't convert & the score was 4-0.

3 minutes later Tigers' winger Sam Latu scored in the left hand corner collecting a great Mullaney grubber kick that bounced beautifully for him, all the result of Wests' kicking out on the full from the restart.  Mullaney couldn't convert & they led 8-0.
