Not in the Lote case and this is what delayed the signing - the NRL needed to approve XBlades to be exempt so that a competitor couldnt come in and sign Lote to wear their boots.

The report in the Herald was wrong, Blades didnt delay anything, the NRL delayed it by trying to stop Blades - all went through ok though.

Lote will only be in the salary cap at around 120-150k in 2010 mark my words.

So the NRL are giving Lote special exemption in the Cap?

Smh is wrong.....Ron keeps refering to it....

Intersting...Hope Thurston doesn't get wind of it.....

SMH as in shaking my head @ you geo......

x blades can contribute up to 100k to lote, all other companies not associated with the tigers in a sponsorship form can pay 3rd party money in excess of 100k if they want to.

its not that hard to comprehend

you would have to look at who is coming through the club to see if we resign which if all these players... id imagine in 3 yrs tuqiri will be covered by mullaney, shirnacks/fafita's/woods would be screaming for game time.. causing a tough decision to keep galloway &/or gibbs. there is also lui/dwyer coming through....

im sure sheens will blood him when he is right... with lote here it will help mullayney to work and develop his game in lower grades so he isnt rushed in too raw...

payten will be lucky to be in FG next year let alone 3 years from now, if his form starts off this year like last year he might not see out this year

Mullany was in Reserve grade not long ago. Sure he has shown what he is capable of, but I think he needs to back up last years effort this year to start rating him so highly.

Agree with the fifita comment though. I don't think it will take him 3 years to overtake Payten.

We haven't signed him so it's a moot point.
