This reshufle was a result of Injury - Liu shouldnt be made the scapegoat for 2009. We missed to many closed games.

We have been victims of the lack squad depth in some positions and the lack of maturity.

I wasn't trying to knock Lui. It was just the wrong time to put him into first grade. We were on a winning streak with Moltzen and Benj in the halves. Moltzen had to stay at halfback and someone else had to be our at fullback. Unfortunately Sheens thought differently.

I was dissapointed when Moltzen had to be moved to fullback, he was doing well partnering Marshall in the halves. Sheens should have replaced the injured fullback and not changed two positions in order to fix one.

in moving moltzen to halfback i believe we are strengthening one position but greatly weakening another.

09 - gallant at fullback = not best under highball and not the best last line of defense
- moltzen at fullback = great under highball and great last line of defense
- JMo at half = boring ( apart from the great shot on thurston )
- moltzen at half = brilliant

Mate ,thats absolute rubbish, you obviously haven't seen much of gallant in the past couple of years,,he is a great defender , has speed to burn , can read a game, is an organizer, not scared of getting tackled, can kick,is a thinker and a game winner, an asset to any side. AS for moltzen being brillant

in the modern game if you dont have a good leap you are always going to struggle under the high ball. yes gallant is a great player but i can remember time when he missed easy tackles ending up with tries being scored.

Spot on Norm, why would you need to change two spots for one !! Thats what I thought at the time, didn't make sense to me, although the fullback spot is a pretty important position, and at the time maybe no one else was good enough. Where was Gallant !! But he is gone now so we shouldn't keep talking about him. ;)

Our attack is fine guys. I'm pretty sure we finished up 3rd in attack and that was with Morris in 7!! Moltzen won 100% of the games when he was in half and his combo's with Benji were brilliant! We just need to focus on our Goal kicking to win the tight games and make sure we start with solid defence at the start of the year, not fix it mid-season.

I'm sad Gallant has left though, his support play was brilliant. We need Lazarus fit or Tamata/Lote to plug that fullback role well, if Moltzen does go to half.

I agree with the other calls that we don't need a dominant 7 with Robbie and Benji. That said, I think Moltzen will thrive in the role, he did play in the halves for the junior kangaroos. I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be the blues halfback answer in a year or 2.
